spouse application processing time

Hi folks, I have a question about in land application for spouse sponsorship, I have sent my application to Mississauga since March 1st 2014. up until now it has been 5 months and I have not received any information or any letter from CIC yet, I wonder if this is normal? I check the the CIC website and it says that the first stage would take 11 months. But should I receive letter of acknowledgement or something? how about the client ID? is it common to just wait like this without any information at all for 11 months?

yep, this seems to be completely normal for inland processing. it has slowed down dramatically. apparently march applicants are just starting to received AOR this week. go here...
