LANDED..........
inshallah soon
My spouse is about to land however due to her university exams, she would need to travel back to Pakistan before we can get the PR card. Is there a way to travel and return back to Canada without a PR. Please advise.

If she is not visa-exempt, then she would have to apply for a PRTD from the consulate in her home country.

No problems but she has to wait for the initial PR Card to be delivered to your/her address back in Canada. Once you get the PR Card ( approx. 2 months after landing) mail it to her or send by hand and she could enter Canada.

She does NOT need the actual PR card to enter Canada at a land border, just her CoPR document.

If traveling to Canada via commercial carrier (air/rail/sea) she might have trouble without the PR card as it's often a requirement of the carrier.

Yes this is an option if she has a visa to the USA

Don't forget commercial buses like greyhound. They still require PR card even though it is a land border crossing. The only time you only need COPR is if you are traveling by land non-commerically, ie driving your own car.

That same argument can be used for those flying / boat/rail as well. A visa exempt country PR can still flying commercially with just passport and CoPR as well.

If she is also bound by condition 51 be aware of the rules and regulations needed to comply with this condition as well.
