No still waiting. I applied online on 6april without medical.
File is being processed at chandigarh office .
Already completed 3 months but no update.

No i did'nt get any medical request yet.
You should send case specific inquiry if your file completed 4 months .
I see on their website that they will reply to case specific inquiries only if u r file
Crossed given processing time.

Hi amritrangrej,

Sorry about sad news. I would suggest you to apply for GCMS notes because these are not actual reasons of refusal.

You can order GCMS notes online that will clearly state actual reasons.

Do you know where you file was processed?

hi don't worry make a strong explanation letter it will help you because I had same reason in my first attempt for student visa then I just change my explanation letter. Cic is sleeping trust me because they are rejecting good profiles..I'm worried now

Hi amit. Sorry to hear about your wife's refusal. CIC does keep into consideration the dependent spouse's financial and professional profile outside Canada as well. Reason: In order to prove you are a bonafide TEMPORARY RESIDENT, you have to prove augficient ties to your home country. Failure to do so highlights more incentive for the applicant to firther stay in Canada at the end of the authorized stay. It is their perceived Risk Assessment for SOWP.

Have seen GCMS notes for various applicants who did not highlight deep roots for the applicants in india and this was the reason in most.

Here's what you can do:
- Show your wife's work experience in India (if she's working)
- Show some funds On your wife's name in India.
- attach family's property valuation report (if she doesn't have any property on her name, she may attach family's real estate valuation report depicting family assets)

Nevertheless, apply for GCMS notes as well. It d take exactly 30 days for them to arrive so you could study if there was anything more to the rejection.

Medical: Upfront, attached during application submission
Submitted On: May 16, 2015
Passport Request from CIC: July 08, 2015
Passport Submitted @ VFS: July 09, 2015
Passport Received from VFS: Waiting , it is showing dispatched

I am applying for SOWP.

I have got my upfront medical done recently.

I intend to add the name of my husband on my passport in the spouse's name column in order to solidify the proof of my marriage along with the marriage certificate i provide.

Now this would change my passport id and when the application is submitted would conflict with my proof of identity given in the upfront medical exam.

Thus my question is would this create any problem or would they not consider this mild change as alarming as i fear.

Plz help its urgent.

Hi all,

Could anyone help me on this. Consulate general of canada send me my passport with the request of some additional documnets submission. They have asked to submit marriage questionnaire. I have checked on cic site and found 2 forms IMM5285E and IMM5490E related to spouse questionnaire. Out of these two forms which form should I fill and send them. Please help me out here.
