Hi I applied online for spousal work permit on 16 th may still no updates not even a medical
Can any one tell me how long it will take

Pending since 26th march buddy. Will tell u when sthng cms up. Medicals upfront. But even that status hasnt changed to PASSED. Visa office: Chandigarh.

Hi concorde is your SOWP made online or paper. Did you enquire about your file to delhi immigration. Even we applied for sowp online on 25th march still no updates we did not submit medicals upfront. we sent a mail to delhi immigration on june 4th reagarding the status of our file they didnt even reply to our mail. dont know what to do. Is it better to do medicals now or is it better to wait.

Hi, they do not reply to mails asking for statuses. However, I would suggest to wait for the medical request to arrive first. I had uploaded a few more supporting documents to CHC via their online link, and received acknowledgement from Delhi Consulate that my file was being processed at Chandigarh Consulate and they have forwarded the documents there. Processing time mentioned is 4 months. I even read a forumite's comment here who filed on 31 Jan online, and received refusal in 2nd week of June from Chandigarh Consulate.

From what I have seen, by far Chandigarh one is the slowest VO, can't do anything but wait.

hi sunny I tried to call them ..they are not able to provide status for online application..I know it's stressful..hope for best..I wish we all get positive response after long wait

that is more stressful because refusalafter 4 month waiting. can't even think about it..I am worried after that case..

My husband's work permit will expire in march 2016. So he need to apply for PR. As my sowp application is under process. So if my husband apply for PR now, will it affect my sowp application processing.

Ya.. They don't provide any information at all. I have read some last year cases. Nobody got sowp visa before 4-5 months from chandigarh office. Chandigarh office is the slowest one.

hi sunny we applied online with medical ....I am a international student (just arrived Canada in jan) this is our first attempt. I applied throug paralegal advisor because she said my case is very strong but God knows what gonna happen. Don't worry everything will be fine..think positive

exactly sunny they never mentioned where my file is proceed even my husband went to high commission office but they didn't disclose anything
