My wife recently (this month) moved in Canada for her post doctoral program. She has PR since 2017 though she only lived there only for two months. She wants me to move with her as soon as possible. We are thinking for spousal PR program but we both know it might take 8 to 12 months for processing or more. So I was thinking to go for TRV.

We got married in this month. We were in dilemma, about to get married before or after her post doctoral program but later we did it in hurry. So our marriage is recent.

About me, I am age of 26, a mechanical engineer by profession and doing a job in a MNC since January 18. I have 2.5 years of job experience altogether. I think this is a good country tie for me. I will be graduating in July. My wife can be my sponsor for visiting time, her annual salary is $50K. Also my mother has 40 lakhs in fixed deposit and 2 lakhs in bank. I have also little amount in my salary account. I have no travel record in my passport.

Also please let me know if I need to do ECA of my educational certificates for TRV or not and also how about IELTS. I am planning to give IELTS exam in July and then apply for TRV.

Can you please make a honest comment regarding TRV and if possible guide me through the process? I would be glad. Thank you for your time.

You do not need ECA or IELTS for a TRV.

Your chances of being approved are likely on the low end since your wife is Canadian. IRCC will likely guess that you aren't a genuine tourist but want to use the TRV to move to Canada early ahead of getting PR.

Your job is a good tie to show in your application. The fact you have low savings and no previous travel will work against you. Your mother's property and savings aren't a tie - do not include this in the application, it has no value.

If you want to be guided through the TRV process, you will need to hire a lawyer to assist you. If you want more information on what others have experienced, recommend you read through the discussions in the Visitors section of the forum.
