My wife was rejected a student visa of Autralia due to misrepresentation and faces a ban of 3 years. I wonder if it will have an effect on the sponsorship application of Canada? She was rejected before our marriage.

It shouldn’t as long as you declare the refusal. May lead to more scrutiny.
