spousal sponsorship questions

Hi, all
I am a PR in Canada, and I want to sponsor my girlfriend for PR as well, she is an international student in Canada atm, we are planning to get married in Canada.
My questions are
Is there a waiting period to apply for PR after we married?
Can I sponsor her if I dont have a job atm (currently in college)?
Does she need to remain her legal status when she apply for PR (like have availd study permit)?

No waiting period after you get married. You can apply as quickly as you can get the required documents together. IE the government issued marriage certificate.

You don't need a job but you must then be able to prove you can provide financially. You can not be collecting welfare.

She can apply for an open work permit with the in Canada application.

You now have to get AOR for the sponsorship application before applying for an OWP.
