Hello, my husband was approved to sponsor July 2014 too, and we are now at the stage of passport request and landing fee receipt has been paid too, CIC also asked for my son's baptismal certificate, written explanation from me regarding our relationship, but im having trouble about my son's baptismal since he was baptized before our wedding, so his baptismal stated his surname as mine and still the name of the father is N/A although ive attached written explanation and affidavits. I sent the documents Last February 17, 2015. After i send the docs to CIC, i immediately processed the update of my son's baptismal and finally got it just last week, now i am having doubts if ill be sending the updated baptismal to CIC or should i just wait for their email, moreso, i am hoping that the courier will appear anytime carrying our passports with visa.. What do you think? Should i send the updated baptismal or just wait? Or should not i think of it at all and just look forward for the visa approved? How many weeks will it take from passport request to receiving it? Thanks! God bless us!

hi i'm a new be here on this furom, im glad that i have a site that can get a info about my application a spousal sponsorship.
we submit our application since october 2014, and my wife was contacted the CIC for follow up the status of our application. CIC toronto said to my wife that the already send it to the manila office since February 17, 2015. my concerned until when do i waiting the call from the CIC manila office to what can i do to the next step our application. and where site that i can follow up my application. your information regarding this matter will be much appreciated.

Sobrang nalulungkot ako for July 2014 applicants na wala pa rin update until now,kasama nako dun.. :'(
Bakit naman ganito kabagal ang processing ngayon.. :'(

Sent to Missisauga 30 July 2014
Received in Manila 08 Jan 2015
CEM emailed me for PPR and other docs 12 Feb 2015
Sent the passport and docs to CEM 17 Feb 2015
Until now waiting for email or courier for Visa
As per ecas, medical received still and not in process or decision made yet

Hello sis, it's ok ang mga marriage contract is registered talaga sa munisipyo not kung saan ang venue ng wedding nyo.

Hi sis, ask ko lang kasi mejo na confuse ako. Civil wedding din kami. Yung ceremony at reception ginawa namin sa ibang lugar somewhere in Manila. Yung solemnizing officer na nag kasal samin may office sya sa pasay city hall. And nilagay nyang place of marriage ay yung sa pasay city hindi sa lugar kung san ginanap yung ceremony. Tama ba yun? Please reply sis

Hello po @ regielou14, nagwoworry kasi ako un civil wedding ceremony dun na kasi namin ginawa sa reception sa quezon city, pero nakaregister un marriage contract namin sa pasay rtc eh. Lahat ng photos namin shots lahat sa reception.

Sis anong naka lagay sa place ng marriage nyo sa marriage contract? Yun ba yung place kung san kayo kinasal?

Hello sir, we are on the same timeline. CIC received our application on October 30, 2015. January 27, we received SA. Then March 10, 2015 they emailed us requesting for the original copies of Marriage certificate, the appendix a for passport request, Original NBI and Advice on marriages from NSO. You'll just have to be patient and CIC will surely communicate with you via email or letter. In our case, when we do some follow-ups, theyre giving us the same answers. So better leave it for a while.

Don't worry. CIC is doing their best to process our papers that's for sure. Most of the people who are already landed immigrants I exchanged messages with, they say after passport request, it normally takes 2 weeks to a month before you can have your passport back. But of course, its case to case basis.

Careful with that statement now...it is well known that Manila sometimes and quite often requests the passport at the beginning and just sits on it until they complete the process.

hi. i feel your frustrations. have you tried emailing CEM that your medicals will be expiring soon? my application tells the same too. wala pang update kahit ip or ppr man lang. 8 months na since we submitted it but we haven't heard from them yet.

Hi rosycheekzz. Yes, we emailed them pero walang reply. So I sent a letter to them na lang asking kung anong pwedeng gawin namin since wala nga kaming natatanggap na update. Samin naman 10 months na since we submitted our application. 5 months na sa manila. Wala pa rin kaming ppr. Pero In process sa ecas.

march 11 2015- passport and document submitted!

until now waiting parin si misis ng pagbalik ng passport!

tanong lang qng my idea ba kayo qng ilang linggo aabutin bago ibalik ang passport?

hi.. sorry sa late reply.

civil wedding yung sa amin ng asawa ko at sa office ng municipal mayor yung ceremony at dun din kami ngpa-register so medyo straightforward. in case yung sa inyo eh iba yung place ng ceremony vs kung saan kayo naka-register, might as well elaborate mo na lang.
