I married my long term gf in a quite family ceremony on 17 Sept 18 and got the marriage certificate the very same day from the place of marriage, Ghaziabad India. Now I will be starting the process of Sponsoring her for the PR. Before even I could begin, I got myself in the midst of a lot of questions. I am listing a few to being with:
1. Do I need to get her passport updated with my address and name? Is that a must have? My permanent address is in Jalandhar, Punjab and address on her passport is that of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
I already got her Aadhaar updated with the new details, my name and her address as my Permanent address from Jalandhar, Punjab.
2. Does she need to get PCC from all the Indian cities/states that she lived in the past 10 years. As I already mentioned above that she is originally from Sitapur, UP, same address on her passport but she's been living in Delhi and Gurgaon for the last 10 years for study and work.
I remember my case when I had to apply for my PCC for the PR process. All I did was got PCC from Jalandhar PSK even though I myself had been living in Delhi-NCR for about 6 yrs.
These are just a few questions I had in mind even before I started putting together all her papers. I appreciate any advise,suggestions I receive from the community. This community has helped me getting such answers in the past when I was applying for my PR and now I hope I get the same response when I start the Spousal Sponsorship process.
