I m 20 July / 2018 applicant. My file is also currently in background check but I don’t exactly know when did they start my BGC kindly can u share when did they start your bgc.
2ndly there was latest update on my gckey on 3rd December stating REVIEW OF MEDICAL EXAM which then change to YOU DONOT NEED AN EXAM. What does it mean ?? I think we both had same medical expiry date , mine 29 November then how come they did not sent me re medical ?.

I think your background checks are completed while mine is still pending .

Yes just after i have recieved my pre arrival they have started my background check and took me almost 5 months
In december 13 i have recieved the re medical in my gckey account they have sent me a mail in my email address to check your gckey account i have done my re medical on 18th of d3cember they haveb recieved it on the same day and also updated in my ecas and the status of ecas chaged to decision made
Today on 23rd december i have recieved my Passport request
Best of luck for your wife too i dont know why they are saying she do not need medical as i know medical is a good sign as they approve your applicant and grant you visa

I received pre arrival on 21 Nov and My ECAS didn’t mention anything about BGC and gc key say it’s under process. Can someone tell some is it normal if ECAS doesn’t mention anything about BGC ?

Nothing is mentioned in ecas except medical status and your own status the whole detail is in gckey account

Where you have sent your passport and do we need to go in person or we can courier them
As i live in Afghanistan and there is no vfs office

You can submit it in islamabad pakistan vsf or india too just take ur ppr along ur slf nd present it while submitting ur passport at the designated vsf

Bcg checks started sept 20th and yes they have completed, I sent LVO a web form inquiry and they responded that background checks completed and just medical pending - I hope yours get completed soon

I sent an email on 10 December and they said that ur background check is in process and we don’t have any new updates that’s why the latest update said WE DONOT NEED MEDICAL EXAM.
May b they will send me when bgc are completed, problem is that I don’t know when they started my bgc

I had 2 relatives both afghan origin they traveled to islmabad vsf to submit their passports and they recived it in a week plus at the moment no chioces for afghan applicants

Pfl was about
1 I didn't submit urdu nikah nama with application
A. I translated with certified person and send them
2 didn't clearly mention the wedding pictures as nikah or rukhsati pictures. All I wrote was wedding day
A. mention with rukhsati on back clearly and send them more pictures

On side I send around 14 pages of communication
And western union money slips
