Today my background check status on my GCKey Account changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." My timeline is as follows:

Application Received = May 24th, 2018
Acknowledgement of Receipt email: 28th June, 2018
Linked to GCKey Online: June 29th, 2018
Medical request: 6th July, 2018
Spouse Eligibility Approval Letter email: 6th July, 2018
Medical Submitted: 11th July, 2018
Medical Passed on GCKey: 12th July, 2018
Letter - File Transferred to Local Visa Office in London: Dated 20th July, 2018, but received it in mail 26th July, 2018
Applicant's ECAS update: started processing application - 1st August, 2018
Background Check status changed to "Processing" on GCKey - 25th April, 2018.

What do you guys think? Am I anywhere close to receiving Pre-arrival or a Passport request? Has anyone received PPR without receiving pre-arrival letter?

Not working for me either. By the way, do you get email notification everytime there is an update? I never got any notification like this. Is this something you turned on in settings or something ?

Yeah, I got this notification twice before for pre arrival and ppr tbh I don't know/ remember if I did something to turn it on in setting. When a gckey is working I will check and let you know.

Oh ok those ones. Yes everyone gets the notification when there is a request letter or pre-arrival etc. I thought it was for when they update the status.

People get updates on Saturday all the time, they have set a date in the system for updates.

I have never gotten update on weekends
Or maybe he/she received Email/updates Friday night and checked on Saturday. Something like that..
