Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

In form 5532, it asks if I am living in canada now. I am staying in Pakistan after getting married for a bit. Should I answer yes to that question?

Answer according to your location at the time of submission of application. I am supposing that you haven't submitted your application yet/

This is a bit old news now, but those who didn't read. :)

Canada Abolishes Conditional Permanent Residence Provision for Spouses and Partners
Spouses and common-law partners sponsored to immigrate to Canada will no longer experience a period of conditional permanent resident status. Instead, they will have full permanent resident status upon landing. The removal of the conditional permanent residence provision was confirmed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on April 28, 2017. :D

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

In the checklist, it asks fora copy applicant's family members' birth certificates, ID card and Family booklet (what is this?). Is it asking for siblings and parents?
Also, do we still need to submit the form regarding military service if not applicable?

askm,
Family member is just you, your spouse and children. You don't need to submit it for siblings or parents.
CIC definition of family member:
A spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child (grandchild)

You dont need to submit the military service form, as it only mentions "if applicable".

For the family booklet, since they mentioned "if issued by your country", i don't believe its required as it is not part of the country specific Pakistan requirements.
