Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Thanks for your reply. Your response is really helpful, normally card starts with .....invite you to the wedding ceremony of xxxx ..... followed by departure of barat etc. So it will have the standard word of Wedding in the start, just was wondering if it can create any confusion

What options do you have? If you are going to use the cultural terms, Rukhsati can written on the invitation cards from the girls side, from the boys side it will have to be Barat. You can submit both cards and explain what they mean.

You can change the standard words if you want. Before you submit the docs you should be confident n satisfied with the docs that u have prepared.

You can create a mycic account through this link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp

Continue to GCKey. After you create your account, link your application. (If you do not have a representative, you will be able to link your application to your account)

1. Log in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application (Assuming 1 PA, 1 Sponsor, 0 dependents)

In case of any query, feel free to ask :)
So its the same as MYCIC. u cant do anything with lawyer

this is the mycic account. GCKey is the way to go to the mycic account. if you have a lawyer then you wont be able to link your application. ask your lawyer to create account, link it and let u know the status of your application.

Hopefully my wife will be in Canada in Dec. We are planning to visit my sister and her family in New York end of Dec. Can anyone please tell me if my wife will be able to travel to U.S? Or do we need to apply for U.S visa?

"Residents (PR) of Canada who are landed immigrants need a passport and visa to enter the United States, unless they are a citizen of a country eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP)" https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/1192/~/canadian--citizens%2Fresidents%2Flanded-immigrants-entering-the-u.s.

Did your wife get COPR yet? if yes, when (need to updated the spreadsheet)

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

My wife will be landing Toronto first. Does anyone know how long it takes for the immigration process to complete. Her connecting flight to Montreal is after three hours... would that be enough time?
