Salam Folks! When you submitted pictures of all the events and the various relatives, did you label the pictures by the relatives' names and provide a separate list showing who is who or did you actually label by description. For example, on a picture did you say...

Left to Right: Usman, Razia, Sana, Raina

or

Left to Right: Raina's brother, Salman's mother, Raina's sister, Raina

In the latter case I don't mention the names, just the relationship...

passport sized photos.

LVO does a quick check for completeness right after file transfer, and if the passport photos submitted originally are missing or incorrect, they'll ask for them again before putting the file away to await initial review.

yup, your app is complete according to "standard guidelines", but once it's open and undergoes initial review, the VO will check for completeness against country specific guidelines. it's at this point that applicants get doc requests for things such as proof of communication, updated police certificates, etc.

Thank-you. Do you mean that you actually got pictures printed from a photographer? I was planning on putting them all in a word document and putting a caption under each with the details and then printing the document on a color printer. Is there any requirement to have them printed as actual photographs on that glossy kind of paper or will a regular A4 paper do?

Any format is fine. I prefer the photo paper since they are readily available in Pakistan and at Shoppers World in Canada. But if you have a decent printer, then its fine too. Just please make sure to include quality photos that are CLEAR so that the visa officer does not have any issues identifying people. The last thing you want is the visa officer using magnifying glass or something of that sort to comprehend blurry pics

All in all, printer is fine, and an A4 paper is fine too, just make sure they are visible and decent quality. Photo paper pics are also more durable than A4 paper (more resistant to water spillage, dirt etc), but again, its your choice.

I can't see any option of uploading docs in mycic.

I uploaded the police certificate through MyCIC. It is now showing "Provided". Click the " View submitted application" link, it will take you to the next page where you will see a link " upload". By clicking upload you may browse to the required file in order to upload it.

CIC had sent us two letters. 1 requested 4 renewed passport 4 applicant and his birth certificate.
second letter requested 4 new PR photographs according to the specifications they sent in the letter.

thank you. Its scary. We got email on 05 oct 16 and on Ecas it shows date as on 20 oct 16.
