Visa Office Stage (Principle Applicant or Spouse)


Steps: Eligibility Assessment (Relation is Genuine or not) > Re-Med if required > Background checks > PPR > Visa Issued

Eligibility Assessment: Additional documents(if req) or Interview request from LVO to assess eligibility.(between 5-8 months)
Interview will most likely held in Islamabad but interviewer will be a person from LVO not from Islamabad (Interview is only to assess whether relationship is genuine or not).

Background checks will be done after relationship is confirmed by Visa officer.

Passport Request. PPR.
Visa is being pasted on Passport. VISA along with COPR is sent to respective VAC.

No - in sponsor approval part they check SPONSOR'S eligibility (whether sponsor is on government assistance or has some debts or anything that might prevent them for sponsoring someone altogether). If one is clear from all of this, then they get the sponsor approval.

Whereas eligibility is focused on the sponsor & PA relationship, whether it is genuine or not.

Have a question for applicants with lawyers as representatives

Does anyone know if your representative(lawyer) can check your MyCIC application status?. As you know we can't link our application, but has anyone been able to have there lawyers log in and see it??...

What kind of problems are you having linking?

Use '2' when it comes to applicants (even if have a dependant) and leave the passport section blank.

No I have a representative (lawyer) assigned to my file. I am able to find my application, but I can't link it since CIC says I have a representative (lawyer) who is tied to this application, and need to let go of him before they all me to link. I don't want my lawyer to stop representing me, I just want to check what's showing up on MYCIC so wanted to know if anyone who has lawyers been able to have there MYCIC status check by there lawyers. Hope this clarifies what I am asking. ;D ;D

Mycic is a substitute for lawyer (for people who dont have a lawyer)
And i guess lawyers wont disturb their operations and will not switch to mycic
They use the postal system

I also have a lawyer so wasn't able to link app ..
And its better to just let our lawyers do our work as we paid them for this...

No doubt HRK your right ;D.

Its only that MYCIC is gives more detailed and up-to date information on your file then ECAS, so that's why I was wondering if lawyers could look at it.

Mycic is not detailed...
It only tells for example like this
Eligibility =in review or not
Medical= pass or not
U can see previous posts of our forum members about their mycic info...

Plus u shouldn't be expecting anything like for straight 8-9 months
This is how the system is..
Only then U'll be able to know if there's any additional doc request or whatever, which our lawyer will handle ..
And
If u still are curious to know
U can order notes ...

I was also trying to link my application two weeks ago but as i hired my lawyer so they give me the same option that i can't link it because my lawyer is using it. If i don't need the service of my lawyer. Fill the form and send it to us then they will link my CIC to my application but i don't want it because let do the job to my lawyer. They know better then us and we already paid them for their service.

some people get PPR directly without ever seeing DM. if you got DM first, you should get PPR within 2-3 weeks maximum.
