Salams,

I am getting married in December, my husband is a canadian citizen based out of Toronto.
So my sponsorship process will start after the wedding (rukhsati etc). However, I have been to Canada before and was thinking if I can travel on my visit visa to Toronto with my husband after rukhsati and stay there for a few months with him?
Would that delay my sponsorship process?

Would appreciate your response!!

Visit visas are a long shot for spouses. If you can, apply for visit visa before December and have your wedding/rukhsati in Canada. This way you can stay with you hubby after the wedding.

Has anyone registered their marriage in Pakistan to receive a marriage certificate? And updated their Nadra/NICOP marital status?
My hubby and I did that couple of days ago since we didn't know :-[

i got the exact same email yday with the dates changed to what mine's were supposed to be. wow... this sucks.

Yes. You're required to submit the nadra marriage certificate with your application.

that's ok, you can submit it to them now through a case specific enquiry. just make sure nothing else is missing besides that.

Yes. You're required to submit the nadra marriage certificate with your application.

So for the medical examination, my wife will have to book an appointment with IOM Lahore and as soon as CIC receives the result, I can submit the application here in CPC-Mississauga right ?

If they call you the next working day it means there's a problem if they don't that means everything is clear. They also give you their reception number when you leave the building so you can inquire about your test results from them.

I know 2 people who just sent translation and original nikah namma. Nadra certificate is not required.

Yes, I did that.
You need to send original Nikah Nama as well as the NADRA Marriage certificate with your application.

I thought NADRA Marriage certificate is also a requirement
