upon my inquiry london visa office has stated your file is under going normal background checks,

can any one explain how long it takes and what they checks in normal background checks?

Hi no one really knows the answer to "how long". Every case is different, and every VO works at a different pace. Just be assured that you are in the last stages, and you shall hear soon.

Hi everyone, when it says tht ur processed passport has been dispatched, does it mean tht the passport is ready to collect???

it means your passport has dispatched from Isb , but u will get another message or call that ur passport is ready to collect before going to Visa Application center please call them number will be available at vfsglobal pakistan

Salam, it can take anywhere from 2wks to 2mths but I'm sure it will be done soon In Sha Allah

Question: I was reviewing my file and I have paper clips and cover sheets for sections. Is that allowed? There are no staples though

Salam, it can take anywhere from 2wks to 2mths but I'm sure it will be done soon In Sha Allah

yeah hopefully he sent me another email stating we have noted your medical has expired and we have noted and medical division will contact you as required.

i was surprised on his 2nd email giving extra info without any inquiry

one month had passed you will hear good news within couple of days, observe the status of other applicants after re medical their status changed into DM after a month so just wait some days more when u have already wait a longggg time

That's exactly what I am thinking right now. My wedding wasn't that traditional or cultural but I had more than 7 years of ongoing relationship before we finally decided to get married. It will be interesting to see CIC's response on my case. Fingers crossed!

I hope INSHA ALLAH everything will be good, our was love marriage too. They have written "It is unusual in Pakistani culture that this is a love marriage but it is noted that they indicate that match was agreed by both set of parents who all attended the wedding.".

I have submitted my passport November 16 at VAC Lahore but still haven't received my passport back. Anyone else in a similar situation. I have also sent an email to Islamabad but haven't gotten any reply back from them.

Salam, I just wanted to let you know that when these CIC Employees who write in your damaging remarks its not all bad. This Visa Officer my husband and I met he was deciding factor on our Interview not the rest of the Employees....

There are some who even did not get re medical request after the expiry of first expiry like me
