my question for those who are receing visas in last few months.
after issuing of visa usally how much time do they give for entry in canada,.
a few friends said they can give only 2 weeks.........is that true???

I remember a lady got her visa on 27th of Feb at 8:00 pm and she had to land by 1st of March or her visa will expire, she lands on 1st of March.

You need to prove them you and your family will not take government help ... and before applying you need to clear all the dues Taxes etc *if you have any* if you have enough bank balance and property attache their proves and i suggest you don't delay apply the case ASAP...

Thank you for replying. I will try to get house on mortgage and will have sufficient funds to support my living for atleast one year will it work then ?

secondly is it possible that i live few months in Canada & few months in Pakistan during the process as its taking around 24 months and you know its difficult to live without family for that long.

Hi Everyone,

My wife's sponsorship application is received by CPC-missisauga for almost 90 days now. The current processing time is 61 times. My status only shows "in process" and for my wife it shows "we received your application on june 4th 2015".

I called them for this un expected delay on processing with my application and the lady on the phone says: there are no notes on why it hasn't been processed yet. She has sent an email to the officer but after 1 week, there is no reply yet from him.

Any idea whats happening with my case? I haven received anything from them except a UCI and application number. The letter doesnt say whether I am approved as a sponsor.

Any idea, why is my application thrown in a delay :S

dont worry it wont take 24 months! most cases r being processed in 1 to 1 n half yr max IF everything is good!

Your visa expiration date is depended on your medical expiration date. If someone completed his/her re-med Aug 2015, and their visa was issued to them Sept 2015, then the visa will be valid until Aug 2016.

i didnt get the point.
suppose i have my medical valid till nov 2015 ,and i get visa issued in october ,so my visa would be valid for only uptill nov??
that seems unfair

im actually on job under ministry of health KSA,n cant leave the job on a few days notice.it has to b atleast a month before that i must tell about leaving the job. feeling worried

suppose i have my medical valid till nov 2015 ,and i get visa issued in october ,so my visa would be valid for only uptill nov??
that seems unfair

your point is right, this is quite unfair but this is CIC rule..do pray for medical extension or remedical request after that you can travel Canada within year until remedical expired.

No need to feel worried. You will likely be requested for a re-medical. Medical certificates are valid for one year unless an extension is granted from CIC.

When I moved to Canada, they told us we needed to land before either of these two dates:
1. our medical date
2. The date our passport is expiring.

...whichever comes first.

Hi,

Extracts from PPR request letter which I received last year.

 Your visas will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations. However, if your passport or any of your family members’ passports are due to expire before this date, all visas will expire on the date that the first passport expires. You must enter Canada on or before the expiry date on your visas.
 The validity of a permanent resident visa cannot be extended, nor can a replacement visa be issued with a new expiry date. If you do not use your visa(s) before the expiry date, yet still wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to begin the application process again, and pay new fees. The new application would be assessed according to the immigration legislation in force at the time of submission.

My wife's medical will expire on 3rd sep'15 and still no contact from LVO... i see nov'14 and dec'14 applicants' getting med reqsts and PPRs.... i wonder why my case if stuck... below is my timeline...

yeah super slow week.. No news regarding interview.. If interviews are in october frst week then we must get schedule this week as they say that they will tell intervoew date before one month.
