Do I need to submit any cover letter with my sponsorship application? If yes then what details should I provide in that letter. And both principal applicant and sponsor need to submit cover letter?

No you do not need to send them cover letter with your application at first time submitting application but make sure everything is proper and organize ...

Ecas status finally changed to "in process" on Aug, 14 2015.

When you click on the "in process" link, do you get a message stating: "We started processing your application on x date"?

It usually just show 2 lines.

1. We received ur application on x date
2. Medical received

Mostly people dont get the third line

No, there are only two lines. Application received and medical results received.

Case filed in June 2013.
In Last month (July 2015), I got response from LDNimmigration, to send them Urdu Nikah Nama, pics and communication evidences. I did so.

My E-case still says:
1. We received your application to sponsor ABC on June 19, 2013.
2. We sent you a letter on July 16, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

What and when they'll reply me NEXT?

I have received AOR today what should i do next, as my wife lives in Quebec and she have to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). Should we go for it or wait until the next correspondence from CIC.

Please advise any.

You need to get it anyway, infact it is required along with the submission of application. Get it and send it to LVO

Although cover letter is not necessary, but it does make a good impression. Make it simple with a single para but make sure to enclose list of documents and forms etc. The letter has to be signed by sponsor as he / she is responsible for sending the application.

E-Cas on my Spouse Case shows:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 15, 2015.
2. Medical results have been received.

I got an email letter saying that Sponsor was found eligible & case has been transferred to LVO on 23rd March 2015. So is 23rd March the date when LVO received the application? & since when should i count the Processing times of my case?

From 23rd March, 2015 i.e. when the file transferred to LVO

Second line indicates as if they have already made the decision and sent u an email. Cuz usually if they require documents then the second line says "we have sent you correspondense " but in ur case it says about decision so its my assumption that they have taken the decision already. Thats what i guess and pray u hear soon.

I had sent a case inquiry to LVO and got reply today, might be interesting for some of those waiting for interviews....



Dear Applicant,

Please be advised that, unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with any further information regarding the date of interview.

As advised on 6 July 2015, we expect to conduct one area trip in each quarter of the year. We endeavour to schedule interviews based on application received date, and we will be in contact approximately one month prior to the interview.

Last month I got same reply from LVO

Please be advised that an interview will be scheduled and you and your wife should take this time to gather all the materials required. She will receive a letter/email approximately 1 month prior to the interview with details on date/time and what she needs to bring with her. Immigration Officers try to visit Pakistan every 3 months. The next trip is not currently scheduled, but as mentioned above, our office will be in contact with you/your wife 1 month prior to confirm the details.
