I"m March 2015 Applicant and after 63 days my file was sent to LVO. Now waiting to see how long it will take for them to approve my wife's sponsorship.

CAIPS/GCMS notes are useful if you are experiencing longer than normal delays and you suspect a possible issue.
They are notes recorded from the visa officer and reveal what stages are in process, not started or completed (i.e. criminality, medical, eligibility, security, etc)

Can you please share the date that the re-med was completed?
When you click on the status of your permanent residence application in ECAS, what does it reveal?
Also, did you pass your eligibility assessment?

Thxs for the reply! I got my 2and med done at March 10/2015,they send my original documents back in May/2015. Now just waiting for the next move hoping it will be PPR soon.

Well i am just perplexed at how the file is still put away over 3 months after the remed request. The medical was done in March, should the re medical results getting be a part of these notes? I dont see any mention of the remedical. Under application assignment i see a due date: 2015/03/30. Which was over two months ago. Amongst the officer notes, they received the RPRF and CSQ. I remember there was a doc that someone shared which helped reading this notes better, anybody care to share that again ?

There have been cases[including mine, DM 11 months after remed] where file was put away for many months.They don't just need your medical to finish the case, they still have to wait for security and criminality to finish before PPR.

Remed was completed 13-Mar-15. Yes eligibility is complete, Ecas i still application received (medical results have been received). Thanks for the link!

Yes i know, my notes still show security and criminality as not started. So after all this time i would have expected them to have atleast started on making these background checks which is what they told my mp.

Yea they aren't known to work with regards to expectations. As always everyone has to wait, some more than others.
MP well...you got more info from notes than MP so you know what to do next.

MPs are notorious for providing false information with respect to immigration cases.
My MP told me, my application would be sent to New Delhi and the processing time would be 33 months.

When I advised my MP my wife was pregnant, they told me to contact them after my file gets transferred to the visa office.
After my file was transferred, I contacted the office manager and she asked me to write directly to the visa office for urgent assistance.

Another person who had their application rejected was advised by her MP that she could not appeal.

Another MP advised the processing time at LVO is 30 months so they cannot intervene because the person's case is within the timeline even though the case file is 22 months old.

It's more reliable to interact with the source (VO) as the usefulness of the MP for immigration assistance has been subjugated under this current government.

I have seen too many cases where they have provided incorrect information.
In my case and I know many other cases, they were completely useless. There may be exceptions but generally this is what I have noticed.

PCC and Passport Bio Page Request.. March 2015

I have send my Additional Docs and PCC in March, they give me 45 days. I am still waiting for my PPR 2.

Please Can anyone share there experience how much time more CIC will take?

I am getting so frustrated now with this hell process !!!

I got an email for remedical from new delhi. I am sponsoring my husband who loves in pakistan. We were given seven days to make appointment with a physician by new delhi. We have been contacting canmed for six days now, through phone and email for appointment and they are not giving us a response. We are at our wits end. I have sent ten emails and made countless calls. Tomorrow is the last and seventh day. If we dont have an appointment by tomorrow our case file could be closed. What are we supposed to do? Please help.I have been emailing them at the following email: canmedpk @ iom.int

They gave an initial reply asking for the following things when i fost asked for an appointment on the 20th of may:

Passport number
Name

Date of birth

Phone numbers (2)

Visa category

Office for examintation


When I replied to them on the 21st with all of this information, they have yet to reply. Can someone please help us??? What should we do??? We only have one day left to get appointment.

This is a reply to all who have received re-med. Before pressing the panic button, please re-read the email twice, it is a general message to contact the physical panel i.e. IOM in our case within seven days and not the medical re-assessment in seven days. It is obvious that the IOM gives appointments in 7 - 10 days, so nothing to worry just take the appointments and go for re-med.

I finally got throgh to them and they said their email system had bwen down and they are currently working on emails. I have still not received anything so I will call again tomorrow if I dont. Also who is the MP for me if I am living in ontario?

It is better to order e-files otherwise they will send you a big load of paper files which will be hard to interpret.

does the person coming to canada for the first time after they get their visa get to bring extra luggage or is it the same as everyone else?

The new immigrants are allowed to bring their luggage in the country by any means of transportation i.e. via ship, by road from USA or via flight. Please check these for your knowledge

you are allowed to bring jewellery, a car, electronic items etc but have to declare each item, better to make two copies of all listed items which you bring along and goods to follow without custom duty, however airlines will charge extra luggage accordingly.

What to expect after "in process" status ?

How long usually it takes for PPR after "in process" , assuming all the documents are complete and up to date?
