Okay thank you. My spouse is already in Canada on TRV i am not sure if he will get the PPR or the PR card.
Pr card comes later on , in your case you'll recieve ecopr first. Inform Visa office through webform about your spouse stay in Canada so that they can send you correspondence regarding virtual landing after your application is processed

My suggestion is to not inform them right now , as its is planned after 2 months. At this moment you dont have any pictures of you guys together and other proof like boarding pass, passport stamp etc which they always ask. After valima you can send it as additional voluntary information, which also may not be required as by that time you may have a decision on your application. Currently LVO is processing really fast dec, Jan and even some Feb applications have started getting prearrival & pprs.

Thanks, Safi for your suggestion. I was confused a bit. But I think you are right here.

If LVO is processing fast, then it's good news. I hope we all have approvals soon.

salams Hasan...Congrats on getting PPR for TRV. could you pls remind us when the TRV application was made?
I guess, TRV applications were moving fast in the beginning but I have not heard back from anyone on this forum who applied for TRV mid-july onwards. hopefully that changes.

Hi All,

I need some advice, i have read through all the recent posts here and i don't think any other situation is similar to mine, I have been in the immigration visa process for over 13 months now:

Spouse Paper Application Timeline:
Application Type: Outland
Initial Submission: 27/07/2022
AOR: 22/09/2022
Biometric Request: 21/09/2022
Biometric Submitted: 30/09/2023
Medical Request Received: 03/01/2023
Medical Passed: 11/01/2023
Background Verification Changed to "In progress" 23/04/2023
Eligibility: Completed - 23/04/2023
Contacted local MP for status - 24/07/2023

While all this process was going on i applied for visit visa 2 times:

1st visit visa: 15/10/2023 2022 (Mentioned Dual intent)
1st visit visa refusal: 02/02/2023

2nd visit visa: 11/06/2023 (Mentioned dual intent and the family reunification from parliament)
2nd visit visa refusal: 24/07/2023

I have asked for GCMS notes for all three application on 07/09/2023
I also sent multiple web forms and only received generic replies, I doubt they even read the web forms.
I also called IRCC and just got referred back to the web form.

I do not know what to do now, Its already over the processing times that IRCC gives online.
So I need advice on how to contact IRCC to ask how long my Immigration application will take?
Should i apply for visit visa again?
Any other steps i can take to bring attention to my application?

Thank you!

Send a webform to ircc london

I don't think to re-apply for visit visa again.
Mp didn't told any thing about delay?
Let me know if you get any update because my timeline is similar.

This is what the MP emailed me on 02/08/2023:

Your application, submitted on July 27, 2022, is open and processed at the London office, UK.
- Eligibility assessment for both the sponsor and the sponsored passed on May 20, 2023.
- Criminality verification has passed.
- Medical exam has passed, and is valid until Jan. 24, 2024.
- Security verification has not started.
- Current processing time is 14 months.

All info I already knew and told my MP when I visited her.

I sent multiple webforms over the last month and just received generic emails back.
I just sent another for the sake of it, I have no hope to get an actual reply.

Have you contacted a lawyer yet? They can help you out with a writ of mandamus. This is essentially used to ask the courts to order IRCC to make a decision on your file quickly if it has exceeded the normal processing times:
https://www.cicnews.com/2023/08/experiencing-delays-in-your-canadian-immigration-application-a-writ-of-mandamus-may-be-helpful-0836576.html#gs.50wcdb

You may want to wait for a month or so before pursuing this option though. I was advised by my lawyer to wait at least 2-3 months after my application passes the 13 month mark before applying for this because then it shows immigration that you have waited a bit after your application had exceeded the normal processing time and also immigration may issue a decision on files within the next 2-3 months after they have passed the standard processing times.

Thanks for informing me of this, I was not aware this was an option. As you suggested I will wait for a few months before going for this option. I haven't contacted any lawyer yet, but I think I have to at this point.
