I just returned from visiting family in Northern Areas of Pakistan.
My wife had her DM on 28-Sep and received a notice on 12-Oct to collect her PP.
But she has not received her original documents and wondering if other people are in the same situation?

We submitted the passport on oct 7 n recieved on oct 28. Almost 21 days. They just updated the status on their website.

Thanks for the reply. We've submitted pp at vfs Karachi on Oct 27. I am thinking to buy the tickets now for 1st week of December. Hope pp will arrive by that time.

We too havent received the original documents yet. I also dropped LVO an email but did not receive any reply.

Alhamdulillah! I finally got my passport stamped with visa and COPR document.

The timeline on my case for application sponsorship as following:

Upfront: 21, Oct 2014
App received: 10, Nov 2014
AOR: 23, Jan 2015
Sponsor Approval: 12, Feb 2015
In process: 07, Aug 2015
Re-medical: 25, August 2015
Medical Done: 07, Sep 2015
Decision Made: 28, Sep 2015
PPR request: 07, Oct 2015
COPR: 12, Oct 2015

Note: I voluntarily sent the English translation of my Nikkah Nama and my Master's certificate while my application was waiting to be processed at LVO (3 months after sponsor approval) Now i am still waiting for my original documents to be returned.

They will most probably ask Urdu nikanaama and its English Transation. So you might want to get it made while you wait for them to request it. Will save you some time...

Well get one made in Urdu. It can be done, someone here might be able to tell you how to go about, but I've seen people who had English NN who made Urdu NN. Maybe from the Kacheri or something...

My nikah nama is in English too. I sent it like that when they requested it. I also explained to them in a separate piece of paper that, the forms are from Canada. So there is no Urdu nikah nama

So I got my AOR 3 days ago and I was able to login to CIC to check my status until yesterday. For some reason I cannot login today, it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:"

Is this normal? Does anyone have any idea what might have happened?

This is pretty normal. ECAS is not always updated, it may take few more days until you get through with your status, so keep on checking it with as much IDs.

Salaam everyone,

I have a question about the Re-Med.

My husband in Pakistan received a re-med request today. It is a great news, but, I am little puzzled with their request.
Following is what they are asking for;

In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examination(s) for your self and your spouse.
Chest Xray
Complete Medical report chest x-ray requisition and report form (page 5 and 6 of IMM5419)
Duly completed Re-assessment Form

When we submitted the application in October 2014, my husband had the medical, but now they are asking for "your self and your spouse". Is this something new?

I live in Canada. Do I have to do the medical too. I am confused. Can someone please help me out.

Where did you get this New Delhi or London? seems to me a generic email where they consider spouse is accompanying the applicant. Anyways, send email to LVO and write "URGENT" in the subject line.

Last month CIC was on the roll but it seems that they are slowing down now...I hope that speed few days back was not just for elections !!!
