Do you think it's feasible to email them about why our status hasn't been updated on CIC? They still haven't updated the status to reflect the request for re-med or confirmation that they have received the extra documents they had asked for. Our file has been in process since February 20, 2015.

Does sending a Case specific enquiry delay the processing of your file? I sent one last week and It's been 2 weeks since DM but no PPR yet......

It shouldn't make a difference at all! Don't worry, LVO seems to be slow this week, they'll pick up pace soon inshallah!

My wife submitted her passport on Oct. 5 and she got it back on Oct 12 but she received a text message from Islamabad on Oct. 10.

So be patient and inshaAllah you all will get your ppr and COPR very soon.

Just as a reminder for Pakistani applicants applying through London, myself and another member of this forum maintain a spreadsheet which tracks applications going through London. You will find a link to the spreadsheet in my forum signature.

If you would like to be added to the spreadsheet please provide the following. Note that if you are from Pakistan then you will are non-visa exempt.

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam

I know this question has been asked time and again, but I just do not seem to find the information I need. Please, could you tell me if someone as shipped things like furniture and personal items from Pakistan to Canada? If yes, what did it cost you and how convenient was it?

Alhamdurillah... my wife received Passport request today.... InshaAllah all 2013 and 2014 applicants will get PPRs within couple of months...

I think I may remember advising you to order notes and see the reason they have asked for an interview... I think the lawyer you have is wrong in saying that you should not order notes. You really must order notes and see their comments. There is someone on this forum who got into the interview queue because the officer thought the "bride looked ill at ease with the husband post marriage" and he is going to send an explanation as well as more pictures etc where the bride looks happier. They may even waive the interview if they are satisfied with what you send them.

So, you see... please please order notes and see whats going on with your file. you should not have to wait unnecessarily.

Getting the original documents is a very positive sign! You'll be getting your DM soon. I wish LVO would pay some much deserved attention to late 2014 and early 2015 applicants too

I know right, mid 2015's are getting their DM faster than ours.
Lol when I received the originals back, I initially freaked out, thinking they returned my application lol.

Do I need a trasit visa if I'm taking connecting flight from US to canada. Actually I'm getting flight from UAE ---US---canada and connection time in US is only 2 hours . I'm planing to land in Dec,2015.

book a 20' container through a reputed freight forwarder it is a long process, they will arrange every thing for u.
