Hi
I am april applicant, sponsoring my husband and dependent child. Its my second marriage n my file transfer to London visa office in july. After AOR2 no update from lvo.Just want to ask does second marriage effects the delay in process? I never sponsor some one before
Second marriage usually called for interview and that add up the time in processing immigration officer always suspicious of second marriage but it may not happend to you but mostly it is as I mentioned above good luck !

Yes it does unfortunately, interview is not must but there is a high possibility that they may call you for an interview. In my case they sent me a PFL I submitted my answer and I got my eligibility passed in 14 months. October 2017 applicant got pre arrival in December 2018 and background checks are still going on since May 2018

Dear Friends

I've heard that if you want to apply for immigration of spouse and kids you have to be a tax filer. Is it True?
I got my PR in 2016 (was single at that time) and came back to Pakistan. now planning to go back to Canada and apply for my spouse and daughter.
please guide me if tax filer is required? coz I didn't find any such requirement in eligibility criteria on www.cic.gc.ca.

Regards

No its not important..
gckey says that when they are reviewing eligibility requirements. You will know if you need interview or not once they clear your eligibility
so how long it takes to complete the eligibility?? Any idea?

The thing is gckey status don’t get update mostly until you get your stamped passport back. My eligibility is cleared and still it says we are reviewing your eligibility, I hope they don’t call you for an interview coz it will delay your process for sure. I got my eligibility cleared after 14 months without interview. For applications like us it takes more time then other unfortunately

My file was transfered to lvo on Sept 6th 2018. Only medical request after that Nov but no news Gckeys says we are reviewing but bgc has not started yet

June 2018 applicant

July 9th applicant here. Fiel transferred to LVO Dec 17th and since then no news. Looks like they are not getting back to us for another couple of months based on what i see. This is just ridiculous.

June applicant, my file was transferred in November 2018.
The wait is torturous tbh, and what makes it worse is that we might have to wait for months and months...

I was thinking this delay should b for those who sponsor some one before.
