CPC-Mississauga asked for Passport size photos on November 29, 2016 that I sent within a week. Then they asked for IMM5562 on December 8, 2016 which I sent back December 13, 2016. I haven't heard anything since then.

I haven't received sponsor approval or anything yet. Just an email acknowledging receipt and another one asking me to link account (which isn't working, of course), and another one asking for documents I already sent lol.

You will be able to link the application after sponsorship approval. As for the documents its best to send them right away.

I was wondering if it's possible to pay the RPRF without LVO requesting it? We didn't pay it at the time of submitting the application but I would like to get it out of the way now if possible before they request for it (whenever they do!)

Actually, you just made me ask a really interesting question. Sorry, but I am confused what is sponsor approval. CIC-Missauga received my package on 14/11/2016 via FedEx and I got a letter on 23rd of November, 2016. That letter says:

This is an automated system-generated letter to acknowledge the receipt of your application. Your
application has been assigned the unique file number indicated at the top of this letter. All your
correspondence with this office should refer to that unique file number.
This is an automated system-generated letter to acknowledge the receipt of your application. Your
application has been assigned the unique file number indicated at the top of this letter. All your

Help me understand what is Sponsor approval. Am I missing something here? I have provided other information that you asked for

The email you received is called acknowledgment of receipt (AOR) email.

Have you or your spouse (sponsor) recieved any other email from CPC Missssauga after this one? That email would contain some text relating yo your sponsor and how he/she is eligible to sponsor.

Yes you can pay it without their request and keep the receipt as proof and send it to lvo right away. We paid it with the application fee and submitted the receipt with application package.

Its an official letter you will recieve from CPM in your email stating you are eligible to sponsor and which visa office your file will be moved to.

try calling CIC help line and ask about Sponsor Approval. It should not take 3 months

Sometime they don't send email of sponsor approval, you can confirm by ECAS on sponsor side there should be forth line saying about decision of sponsor approval.

Do you have access to mycic option where you can check all the messages from CIC?
What did they send you on Nov 29th? Was that not spousal approval?

I think you were approved and thats how they started processing your application on 15 Dec

this one is for the principle applicant, you need to check the sponsor side if you put the detail of sponsor in ecas you will get the information of both sponsor and sponsored.

Thanks for your response! I managed to pay it online, do I have to send a hard copy of the receipt or is there an email address i could send it to?
