You can do the drama kind of rukhsati, one of my relative had done this and they have got passport request. What you need to do is proper rukhsati items take your bride in your car take pics of those scenes and submit to it with your application, Thats it. Hope it helps.

You can do the drama kind of rukhsati, one of my relative had done this and they have got passport request. What you need to do is proper rukhsati items take your bride in your car take pics of those scenes and submit to it with your application, Thats it. Hope it helps.

I believe we should move away from this whole custom of rukhsati as it isn't at all Islamic, rather backwards. It adds unnecessary pressure to both sides oif the family.. Hopefully our culture and CIC starts to accepts that going forward.

I am almost done completing my Spousal Application (for wife), from Karachi. I am a Canadian Citizen and currently living with my wife in Khi. I have few questions:

1) Do we have to send Medical and Police clearance up front to expedite the process or wait for them to send.
2) If we submit the Medical exam now, do we need to submit on a specific form ? Any clinic in Khi anyone knows.

did u fill the new application package or old one?
new package was introduced on dec 15, 2016. in the new package pcc and medical are not required upfront. both will be asked at later stage.

Finally, today I got my passport request.. can anyone advise that in appendix a, should I only add my information or my wife information as well because my wife has already Canadian passport?

Another question, should I submit my valid passport only or need to attach my old expired passport (there is no visa in old passport)?

How much the fee of VFS?

What should I bring VFS other then letter which received from CIC, appendix a, passport and 2 photographs?

Really need urgent feedback. Tnx

1. Just your information, don't need to put sponsor information

2. Just attach your valid passport

3. Take 2000Rs . I believe the fee is 1,500Rs or something around there.

4. Bring Letter (all pages), Passport, Photographs and money to pay.

Rukhsati is a cultural thing it has no religious element to it, so even if you do it its not Haram or anything.

of course not.
but speaking from personal experience, my in laws were hesitant to let us hang out alone since there was no ruksati function till the following week - like wtf. The whole issue was "log kia kahegy". I was eventually able to convince them anyway 8) Maybe others had similar experience??
All I meant to say was, if we stopped performing such cultural ceremonies, we'd be saving ourselves a lot of trouble - financially, emotionally..and from cic lol
