Congratulations, how did you get visit visa for such long periods?
Lia77,
I applied online for USA visa and paid online. You can chose your own interview date. If the immigration officer satisfy they will give you visa. I got 10 years visa but it depends on immigration officer you will get 6 months or 5 years or 10 years. Lucky I got 10 years visa.

Regards
Farhana

Received First AOR acknowledged of Receipt Mississauga office December 2016
Received Second AOR from New Delhi Visa Office - April 2017
Received Interview Request for Nov 2017. I (Sponsor) attended with my wife and Daughter
Was told that we we are approved and that I should get a Medical Check up notice shortly after.

Its been three months since then but I have received no update on my Application.

Please note our application has taken almost 1.5yrs till now which is way over the 12 month timeline.

You should have collected your recent GCMS notes which would indicate the latest status. Most probably BGC is taking longer time. The interviewer indicated that your interview was successful. You should get remedical request soon.

Good luck!

Does anyone know what this message exactly means?

I had my interview February 5th and the officer was satisfied with our marriage. The VO said we will start your security and in the mean time you can do your medical. So last week I sent an email that I still did not receive the medical request. I got the answer below.

Your application is undergoing an assessment of the information you provided. We cannot provide a time frame as to when the assessment will be completed. However, we will contact you as soon as we have further information.
Do you mind if I ask why you guys got interviewed? I don't normally see people from the Netherlands get called for a relationship interview, and you've been waiting a ridiculously long time! I'm glad you passed though!

Interview is scheduled when VO has confusions, questions or concerns over any issues relating to the application. They need to make sure that marriage of convenience is not taking place in order to obtain Canadian immigration. Applicants from Visa exempted countries are more unlikely to get scheduled for interview.

"FOR FAMILY CLASS APPLICATIONS
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR INTERVIEW
Please bring the originals of the following documents with you to your interview. All original documents which

you do not need to bring a second copy to your interview. Not all of the items listed here apply to your situation;
however, you must be prepared to explain which items are not available or applicable. Please organize your
documents in the following order:
Updated Application Forms:
 Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] (PDF, 536 KB)
 Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP] (PDF, 472 KB)
 Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] (PDF, 170 KB)
 Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] (PDF, 88 KB)

 Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] (PDF, 55 KB)

This is a part of documents immigration ask to bring during interview. My wife sent all this application forms (paper copy) while she applied for immigration. My question is - do she need to fill all this form again and take them to the interview date? or its only applicable for the people who applied online with soft copy only.

As far as I remember I filled in those forms again and brought those updated forms as advised to the interview.

you welcome
Hi Farhana, and All, could you please help.
CIC sent the documents (might be evidences) by mail to my husband’s address. Unfortunately he was travelling during that time, he come to visit me for 1 month. The post office hold the package for 2 weeks and returned it back to the sender, just 2 days before my husband was back home. What should I do please? Should i send email to them to explain and ask them to resend the package? Will it delayed the interview schedule?

Thank you very much
