Hello Hasan,
Just have a few questions if you may know the answers. in the email it says at the beginning WE ARE PLEASED, and in later on it says "If you were sponsored, please ensure that your sponsor attends the interview with you". do you think it is just an interview to just sine COPR?
I dont think i need relationship interview. we have been married for almost 7 years and we have 2 kids 5 and 3 years old.
your comments are highly appreciated.
It's a landing interview. You were probably inland. If so, it means you get three questions to make sure the material facts on your application are the same, then sign the CoPR. Completely normal. You've been accepted.

Hello Friends,

I am a permanent resident of Canada. I recently went to India for vacation and got married. I am back in Canada now, and I would like to call my wife here to stay with me. As sponshership program takes 12 months :

- Is it possible that I apply a Visitors visa for her and bring her here, and parallaly I apply for Spousal sponsorship ?
- Would she be eligible to apply for Health card if she is here in Visitors Visa ?
- What is the difference between Visitors visa and Dependent Visa ?

Please clear my confusion. Thanks a lot for yor feedback.

I know this is old case. but I can't believe how bad their lies or inconsistency were in this case. In a way the officers or whoever ask the spousal questions based on the application. From what I can see they definitely didn't have any type of cellphone or social media communication. They basically just winged it Reading this case puts me at ease because I keep thinking my case isn't strong enough beacuse both my wife and I still didn't meet the either parents. Reasons are basically financial reasons and my wife lives in Venezuela which is too dangerous for tourist now. But like someone else is going to say, different case different results.

Sounds like i'm talking to myself lol. But just trying to get motivated for this application.

Hello Farhana and Hasan,

My finance got SINP nomination in the month of October 2016. I have also applied for it but got ineligible. my finance's PR file is in process at CIC. Now we both want to get married but I came to know that sponsoring wife is very difficult and have to face interview. We are thinking to notify cic about our relationship and add my name in his file as common law partner. Please suggest me what would be my best option? Also suggest should we get married or common law partner thing is better option? We are in relationship for 5yrs
Did your fiancé mention that she is in relationship with you?

Also do you have enough relationship proof that you guys have cohabited at least one year?

Hasan

Hasan9999,

I have question for you. I'm from Canada and my wife lives in Venezuela. We got married in Buenos Aires, Argentina under civil marriages. None of us met any of the parents as we knew it be impossible but we carries on with our civil marriage. Both side of families know of this marriage and approved happily. On asking permission from my wife's father to marry her. We did it through video in WhatsApp. I understand CIC doesn't accept video as evidences especially when its in Spanish and not English. I was told by someone I can screen shot the video and write in a letter of what we both said. I don't want to sound so bias, but I feel like this is my weakest evidences because none of us met each other fanily for good reasons. 1st is cause Venezuela is so dangerous. That's why I didn't return second time yet hoping things will calm down which never did :( second because of money and work bother parents couldn't arrive. During our civil marriage we had translator and witnesses there and a video recording the whole ceremony, pictures also. And I can get written letters from both witness and translator to make it much sweeter if this is recommended by anyone. I will certainly do it if it helps. Please let me know what anyone thinks of this. I feel like everyone cases are different so the more the better to have better understanding what to expect. Let me know thank you. Good luck to your application :)

Buenas noches

Calvin.

hi guys, i had my interview in November (last week of November). soon after the interview the officer told me that she's going to approve our application, and then she went through some of the docs and said that my medical is about to expire and its better to do the re-medical, when i told her that i can do the medical on the same day, she said she"ll send me the e-mail requesting the re-medical as soon as possible. so after the interview, within 30 minutes i got an e-mail requesting for the re-medical, but i did the medical the next day. soon after the interview, background check changed to in process from not started. and three days after i did the medical, it was updated on my cic as passed. after that i didn't hear anything from them until now.. how long will it take for me to get the PPR?

Hello Calvin,

Each case is unique. You know what could be your major weaknesses.

Address those weaknesses and remove doubts.

Yes please present your marriage story in such a way with whatever evidences you have so that the case processing officials have little doubt in their minds. Describe the circumstances nicely.

After submission of spousal PR application, your spouse may try for a TRV.

Good luck!

Hasan

Sometimes background check takes longer time.

I think your waiting time is almost over, so have some more patience. You could have meanwhile collected your GCMS notes to know the updated status of your file.

Good luck!
