Hi, I am residing in Canada on post graduation work permit. I just got married and I have created a profile for me and my wife in express entry, though I have not received an invitation yet. Now, I want to apply dependent open work permit visa for my spouse , but my consultant in India is saying due to my express entry profile there is no chance that your spouse work-permit will get approved. I have searched official IRCC website but could not found that you can not apply for spouse sponsorship if have an express entry profile. Please guide me. Thanks.

I think you got confused with the wording.
Spouse sponsorship is for Canadian PRs and Canadian citizens to sponsor their spouses.
You are still applying in EE and you can include your wife in the EE entry. But you cannot apply to sponsor your spouse because you are not PR.
