Spousal Sponsorship and TRV together

Hello Everyone

MY spousal sponsorship (PR) Application is in process since sept 2013 now i m going to apply for TRV and some people are saying that TRV application will effect my PR application in term of time delay or may be rejection so i just wanted to ask is it true?
