I Got my passport back today from VAC office karachi. It was dispatched on 11th march. I received the call on 12pm to collect it.
It was greatly fast (12 days) compared to 45 days of TCS.
I hope everyone get to their loved ones soon.
I have spent my fair share apart from my wife.
6 years engaged and 1.5 year of marriage and we only spent couple of months together. Still Love is all worth it.
Thank you all for your prayers and best wishes.
I will at least spend a month helping others on this forum after i move to Canada inshaAllah
so keep me in your prayers.
I have seen new members who are ready to take senior member's place very soon.

Hi Every one, I need some help as I came to know about this website from friend. I sponsored my wife who has kid from her previous marriage (Pakistan). She has guardianship custody of the kid. Now immigration requested for court order that kid can travel on permanent basis, as far lawyer of Pakistan says its not possible. Can anyone advise? Thanks

I have sent updated schedule A and proof of residency of my wife currently living in Canada. what will be next step as my upfront medical was expired too and is background check is under going or they will start after the medical.

Hi All,

I want to share what happened with me due to poor services of CIC with regards to closing an application on time and informing the applicant. As my issued visa kept sitting with them for 3 months and I received it 1 day before its expiry.

My timeline is
Case submitted: Mar 2014
Transfered to LVO: Apr 2014
Inprocess and Decision Made: Nov 26 2014
PPR: Jan 8th 2015
Passport received back: 27th Feb 2015 at 8.00 pm

Visa Issue Date: November 26th 2014
Expiry date of Visa: Mar 1st 2015.

Entered Canada as an immigrant: 1st Mar 2015

I am glad that my case was processed within 8 months, but the torture of entering Canada on time and planing my flight within 3 hours of receiving the passport was awful.

It looked like CIC Had no plans of returning it for another few months until our MP pushed them. I just want you all to be extra careful with delays and their poor services.Thanks.

They are good at screwing things up! there are people on this forum here whose applications sat in Islamabad for over 8 months and they were never opened.
