My friend quit his job a few weeks ago, he is applying for PR, he has a closed work permit (he is a pnp inland applicant), currently he still waiting for the final decision and he knows that this process can be really long, and it's difficult to be sure when immigration will end his process. Now that he quit his job he can't work.
He is thinking in cancel his currently pr application (he didn't applied one requested document on time, so he is thinking his application will be refused) and do a new application under the family class process, with this he can apply for an OWP meanwhile he is waiting for his pr. His grilfriend is canadian and they have lived together for 14 months.
Do you think this is a good idea?
Do you have any advise?
How long will take do have his OWP, his only family here is his girlfriend, he needs to work asap
How long usually takes the family class process?
