I came across this older discussion and wanted to add that I’ve never seen anyone get in trouble for casual betting as long as it’s just personal gambling and not running a business. The key issue seems to be whether it counts as “work,” which it usually doesn’t. Has anyone here ever been asked about betting or gambling by IRCC during an application or interview?

You’re generally fine doing casual sports betting as long as it’s just personal entertainment and not run like a business or a source of steady income. Immigration cares more about you working without authorization, not about you placing the odd bet. I’ve played games on baixarmyapk.com in my downtime, and things like that are treated the same way, as long as you’re not treating it like a job.
