Please can anyone help answer my question,
I have applied to sponsor my wife "Outland application" on the 1/12/2014,my wife wants to take a one month trip outside her country of residence starting 1/3/2015 which also coincide with the time CIC is suppose to respond to the application. She fears she might miss anything /news from CIC or VIsa Office during that period.
So my question is, apart from the AOR,does the CIC or the visa office post documents to the applicant residence? How do they communicate with the principal applicant?
If there is any need for an interview, is it communicated through email or post.
Thank you.

They will communicate by 3 ways...snail mail, email or phone call. It all depends on the Visa office and how you asked for communitcation on the application. I recevied all emails sent to my husband as I was his representive so I knew when something happened

if you applied in January 2014, then you (the sponsor) would have already recevied an aor. the applicant doesn't always receive one, it depends on the visa office and generally comes after sponsor approval once the application arrived at the visa office. most visa offices do not send aor's.

if your wife put an email address in her applicaiton, than more likely than not any requests will go there. the physical address she used in her application will be where they send her visa (if needed) and approval paper. if she wants to change her address for communicaiton purposes, she would need to call CIC, give her the file number (which would have been in the sponsor eligibility letter received), and tell them her new address. or she can email/fax the visa office per the instructions in the sponsor approval email. her address does not need to be in her home country. cic doesn't care where she is.

It is safe to assume that the OP used day/month/year format and therefore applied Dec 1st, 2014.

i guess so, i'm used to it the other way around. thanks for pointing that out canuck.

Thank you all for the response, yes I write my date in this format day/month/year. I apologize if it is misleading as some people are use to it the other way round.
Who sends the approval letter,CIC or Visa Office?
Is interview mandatory for the Beijing Visa OFfice?
Thank you

Sponsor approval will come from Mississauaga. COPR will come from Beijing.

An interview is never mandatory. It depends on your relationship, how much evidence you have, any red flags etc.
