Sponsorship or not?

Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone can give me clarity on these questions.

I was recently accepted as a refugee here in Canada! yay!

Someone mentioned to me that once I get my notice of decision, I can then marry my boyfriend, then apply for PR and add him as my spouse on my application, I lack clarity because I'd like to know
1. if he needs to submit a separate application as well?
2. will I have to sponsor him?

Hopefully, someone can help me here.

What is your bf status? Is he in Canada? If not are you able to travel to marry him? Is he able to travel?

He's an American Citizen, he's not currently in Canada, he is able to travel to marry me, yes.
