Sponsorship for spouse.... URGENT Help needed!

Hi,

I got civil marriage in 2011 in india and i was processing my PR but the marriage didnt work out and we never lived together and when the medicals request came i informed the the DELHI CHC about the same and they told me file for a divorce, I filed the same and then they sent me a document to sign and notarize it that i will ever sponsor this person in life to canada. Then i received my landing document with the marital status divorced and i landed in Jan 2013 as a PR.

After i moved to canada the girls family proved something and cancelled the register marriage which we did and now she is married and happily settled in US.

After going through all this issues i am well settled now and my family forced me to get married, and i got recently got married in August 2015 and would like to sponsor my spouse.

Will there be any issues in getting her sponsored because of the previous girl.

How did they force you to get married? Did they point a gun at you or something I find it hard to believe such backwards things still exist nowadays.

On a serious note, I don't think the sponsorship will be any problem. It's a different person you married and that has nothing to do with the previously annulled marriage.

If you had sponsored your previous spouse for PR, you would have a 3 year ban after she got PR. However, you did not sponsor her so no worries. The failed marriage should not affect your sponsorship of your 2nd spouse.
