Sponsorship - Do I need to file taxes for the years that I am not in Canada?

Hi,
I am planning sponsor my wife and kid. I landed as PR in 2019 March, but went back to my native country after 6 months.
I came back to Canada in March 2022, and working here since April 2022. I filed the tax for year 2019 recently, my question is do I need to file taxes for years 2020 and 2021, as I have not stayed in Canada and I did not work for these 2 years in Canada

If you want to know if you were a tax resident you can contact CRA and they will determine your status.
