Hi, I am a Canadian PR and my wife is in India, Should I apply for the sponsorship which would take 12 months or should she be applying for PR under express entry herself thru FSW

Either way works. You should pick the one that's easiest for you.

If qualifying as a sponsor is easier than proving her work experience, degrees, and so on, then sponsor her.

If it's easier for her to qualify for FSW (high CRS scores, easy to prove work experience, settlement funds, etc), then she can do that.

If she goes through FSW, you don't need to sign the sponsorship undertaking.

Should I let her apply under FSW so that she can get PR in 6 months?

yes but that process takes 12 months whereas if she applies under FSW independently it can be done in 12 months

Yes, both processes will take roughly the same amount of time assuming you start right now. FSW may be slightly quicker if she's already taken her IELTS and had her degrees validated. If not, you're looking at 2-3 months before she can even enter the pool, then you wait for an ITA, then you gather documents, submit, etc.

It's going to be roughly the same unless she is already well into submitting an EE application.

What's her CRS score?

Her score is 384 but she is gonna give IELTS again in June to improve her score

She'll need to get 30-50 more points to be competitive. Will an updated IELTS get her that many points?

If she hasn't created an EE profile yet, the two pathways are about the same amount of time.

If time is your consideration, both may be about the same amount of time. She may not qualify for EE/FSW without a much higher score.

If she gets 7778 score in IELTS. her score will be more than 460 and can be applied under FSW. she has already requested the documents fro university and will be sending to WES on second week of June. and her IELTS is on 3rd week of June
