Hello everyone! i hope someone can help me with this situation i have been going crazy over, any information would help me thank you!
Myself and my wife have been married for 1 year and 10 months and i've sent the permanent residence paperwork 1 year 8 months ago and i've been waiting and checking online for the status weekly, the problem is that i have to renew my wife's study permit ( she is here in canada since 2009 on a study permit and we got married in 2011 ). i paid a big chunk to get her a study permit and a work permit since last december. is there any other method where i can apply for her to stay while she wait's for a response from immigration about our PR paperwork? or do i have to keep paying for her schooling and work permit's until she receives a confirmation? because school's here in Vancouver are pretty expensive and i've checked the main website and there's nothing about applying for an extension while waiting for PR approval.
her study permits and work permits are due in october and i fear the worst if the PR papers doesnt go through before the date and she will be illegally in Canada.
