Hospital called wife yesterday just to say her medical has been received by CIC. They use an e-filing system.

If the addresses (korean ones) are too long to fit into the place provided, can we write them in after printing the form off?

I did that for the forms that did not require validation (the bar codes).

Question for you, how did you worry about any 'gaps' in your work history? For instance, a month gap because you travelled? I don't think this one is a big deal, but did you? For me, there is a 6 week 'gap' in my work history(from 2008) because of travelling with the wife.

I didnt have gaps since we travelled during vacation. No harm to write it in as you said. If not there will be a gap. Thats how I see it.

TBh, this would be the last job on my work history section, and I probably don't even need it as it is all in 2008.

Don't include it if not required. Save the hassle. Learned that lesson myself.

BTW: Foxit pdf reader would not populate bar codes for me. Watch out for that.

Don't leave gaps where dates are unaccounted for. There is no problem to just put in "unemployed' or "on vacation" or something... for the dates you weren't working. But you have to put in something for all the times. Having gaps in the personal histories is one of the more common reasons the VOs will ask applicant/sponsor for additional info and delay the processing.

UPS: Just confirmed that our PR package was delivered to mississauga! The courier picked it up 400PM yesterday and it just arrived 11:20PM. Total = 31 hrs/ 20 min! That is fast!

* nothing to do but sit back and wait.

The time period in question is from 2008, so I am just thinking about dropping it and starting my 5 year work history in (early) 2009. Thoughts?

You need to go back 5 full years. So that would be starting from at least May 2008.

As i said, it's really no problem to write "unemployed" by any date. CIC doesn't care at all.

How long has it been now? After the 3rd week I checked my mail box everyday. On a Saturday (when I don't check it) I walked by the mail boxes and it was there!

AOR: About 2 weeks?

File Transfer: About 3-4 weeks (including AOR time)?

* At what point am I approved and notified as a sponsor? (via letter/e-mail?)

thanks.
