Sponsoring disabled spouse

I am wondering about sponsoring my disabled fiancé to Canada from the US.
We will be getting married summer of 2020.
My income is just over 80K a year and we’ve been a couple for 5 years.
We live about 2 hours away from each other....both on either side of the border.
If someone can give me concrete answers on the possible obstacles, that would be appreciated.
A survey I did said he cannot be sponsored unless we are legally married... cannot be common law.

Canada has no fiance visa.

You can certainly sponsor him - but not until you are either married or have lived together for a year continuously to become common law.
