Hello All.. Please help me out with my question. I am a permanent resident of Canada, living in Winnipeg for 5 years. I have a good job, earning 45k p.a. I have an elder brother in India, he is 34 years old, single. Can i sponsor him permanently in Canada and on what basis, will he be eligible to come here.

Thanks in Advance.

Depends.

Are one or both of your parents still alive?

Do you have any family in Canada (spouse, children, parents, aunts, uncles)?

Thanks for replying.. Yeah my mom dad and brother are in India and i dont have any relative here in Canada. My brother is not graduated. He passed his 12 and then he got one year certification in Tool&Die making. My friend told me that he should be graduated if i sponsor him under family visa.

Since your parents are both still alive, you unfortunately cannot sponsor your brother. If your brother wishes to immigrate to Canada, he will have to qualify and apply on his own.
