Bare with me coz i am new in this site, I have a lot of concern regardng sponsoring my husband who is in Riyadh right now. I have a queston: Is it better to sponsor him while he is in Riyadh or He needs to go back to Philippines?

If you're doing it outland, I don't think your husband's residence matters. What matters is where you, the sponsor, are.

You need to tell us about your status in Canada: are you a PR or a citizen? Let us know, and we'll tell you what you need to know based on your status in Canada .

Alright, then you can be anywhere in the world during the process, if you're doing it outland. If you plan to be outside of Canada during the process, you need to provide the CIC with detailed proofs/plans and supporting documentations, which demonstrate that you will resettle in Canada once your husband is granted PR.

thank you so much but my husband has to provide 2 police clearance right? philippines and Riyadh?
Another question, if the canadian embassy ask for his passport do they give enough time ? coz what he have now is his IQAMA.

You can follow other Manila applicants on this site and get a feel for when his 'passport request' is to be expected. However the letter that the CIC sends will probably specify 45 days from the date of the letter to submit all remaining docs.

Yup ive been trying to search a case similar to mine still no luck but i had some answers like when it comes to police clearance request and medical. You have any idea, if he can submit two address his work address in Riyadh plus the address in Philippines?
