this is my first time to post here, but i always read comments and advises that were really helping us (me and my husband) a lot in answering our application. :)

my husband is filipino and is now working in riyadh saudi arabia, can we choose manila as the processing office?

if that so, does he needs to go back home for his medical or resign to his work for the application? or can he make his medical in riyadh and still choose manila as the processing office?

if possible we want to choose manila as the processing office coz i heard and read that the average processing time in through manila is 9 months and through abu dhabi is 27 months.

i'm very sorry if my questions were so confusing, but i badly need your help :(

maraming salamat po!!!!God bless you all!

i believe the applicant can choose a different visa office than their home country if they have legal status for 1 year or more in that country. So if your husband's work contract is for 1 year or more, then yes, i think you can choose that visa office. If it's just a short term assignment, i believe it's no. Remember, he will need to do police records for both countries.

As for the medicals, they can be done anywhere as long as it's with one of the approved panel doctors.

this is assuming your husband is the applicant and you are the sponsor?

Umm, the OP "wants" to choose his HOME country for processing. Just to be clear, you can put Manila (which I think is where CIC will send the application), but when it comes down to it, this CALL belongs to the CIC.

thank you so much guys for rplying..

yes i am the sponsor and my husband is the applicant.
he has 1year contract in riyadh.
so can he do his medical in riyadh and address the visa office in manila?

i'm just confused about it.. :(

hope you dont get irritated with my questions..

i have no one to ask eccept in this forum. thanks so much!

yes.

The medical is included in your application packaged, and the "whole" thing is addressed to CANADA.
