Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi there!!
I heard that anyone who hasn't any relative here in Canada can sponsor anyone from family -my brother- even though he is 26 years old.
Anyone can confirm this please?

I think you can its on their website....in a lifetime you can sponsor one relative.

You can sponsor your brother but there are limitations to it. You can sponsor your brother if your parents are deceased and you are not married, common law, or have any children.

Thank you guys, I need to make sure about the condition. I'm still single, but there is no indication about the parents should be deceased!

It says right on the website . You can sponsor "ONE relative BUT only if you" DO NOT" have any living relatives . E.G. parents. "

Yeah, I thought any relatives leaving here in Canada.

If you have any relatives living here in Canada then you can't sponsor your bother. If you have parents that don't live here then they can be sponsored , there fore you can't sponsor your bother. I know it sucks but until it changes nothing we can do . If your bother is bewteen 18 and 30 he could try applying for a holiday work visa or try coming as a skilled worker.

I can't even sponsor one of my step sons to come. He is over 22 and has a job so not in school and not dependent on myself or his father...

that's weird!!! I don't know, I spend 5 years here without any relatives. honestly, doesn't make any sense to refuse sponsoring any member of family.

4 years waiting lol

Oh, would be nice if it was only 4... It's 41 months for 1st stage plus the time of your local processing office. In my case, it's almost 9 years lol ;D
