I heard that anyone who hasn't any relative here in Canada can sponsor anyone from family -my brother- even though he is 26 years old.
Anyone can confirm this please?
Yeah, I thought any relatives leaving here in Canada.taffy7 said:It says right on the website . You can sponsor "ONE relative BUT only if you" DO NOT" have any living relatives . E.G. parents. "
that's really sucks!!taffy7 said:If you have any relatives living here in Canada then you can't sponsor your bother. If you have parents that don't live here then they can be sponsored , there fore you can't sponsor your bother. I know it sucks but until it changes nothing we can do . If your bother is bewteen 18 and 30 he could try applying for a holiday work visa or try coming as a skilled worker.

thank you though.
that's weird!!! I don't know, I spend 5 years here without any relatives. honestly, doesn't make any sense to refuse sponsoring any member of family.taffy7 said:I can't even sponsor one of my step sons to come. He is over 22 and has a job so not in school and not dependent on myself or his father...
