Hello, I have a question and hopefully, someone can answer it.

I sponsored my parents and I am responsible financially for them for 20 years.

Are my parents allowed to apply for EI if she gets laid off?

can I file shedule 6 -canada workers benefit during filling tax?

Your parents can claim EI if they get laid off and qualify because they would have paid into the system as a tax paying employee. Not sure about Worker benefit. That verges more on financial support from the government. The majority of PGP recipients never work so not a question that comes up often. Technically you are supposed to be providing financial support for them for daily living.

Like any job search it will depend on your experience, the need for workers, language skills, etc. In general it can be difficult to find employment without Canadian experience and it can be difficult to find a job as you age. There is ageism in the workplace. What type of job are you looking for, how old are you and what is your work history?
