Sponsor wife to Canada on PR

Hi Everyone,

I am a PR of Canada since 2016 and have stayed outside of Canada for over 1.5 years. I am planning to get married this year and want to know how to sponsor my wife. I plan to go back to Canada and file the sponsorship application but do not have a job as yet but some savings.

Is it suggested to apply for a Visit Visa before marriage so that she can come with me to Canada or is it better to apply for sponsorship directly?

Well, you could apply for a TRV and see if it works.
In any case, I'd suggest you to be keeping records of all your visits to her and photographs, tickets, etc. so that you can make use of them in supporting your application to sponsor.
