Hi All,

Hope all are doing well.
I have a quick question:

I have got PR and planning to go to canada in May time.
When I got PR in AUG 2011 , I was single and in JAN 2012 I got married.
I am in India @ present.

> Should I update anywhere in CIC Immigration office about my marital status ?
> How should I apply for my wife who is in India ( at present I am also in india and looking for a job in canada)
> Can I go to Canada and apply for my wife ?
> How long it will take to process and do i need to take care anything in terms on documents .

Appreciate your help on the same.
God bless !
Regards
SRK

Did you 'land' in Canada in August 2011? That is, did you present your PR visa to an immigration agent at an airport, fill out some forms, and later got a PR card in the mail? If you did, you are a PR of Canada. You can only sponsor your wife once you are back in Canada - PRs have to stay in Canada to sponsor a spouse, while a Canadian citizen can be living abroad and still sponsor.
If you have not landed yet - that is, you do not have a PR card - then you must inform CIC and the New Delhi visa office that you got married, and your wife will be added to your application.

Thanks for the reply
I have landed in canada in AUG 2011 and got my PR.

At present I am trying to get job.
Mean time, do I need to inform CIC / Immigration office about my marital status from single to married ?

No need to inform CIC. You sponsor your spouse through family class.
