Sponsor Russian wife and parents

I am soon going to sponsor my wife to come to Canada. She and her family are Russian.

We have been married under 2 years. I am curious if I am able to sponsor her sister, and mother, along with her, when I make the application. My wife speaks English, but her sister and mother do not.

Because we are married, is it just as easy for her parents to get PR status from the marriage, or is it only my wife who will be able?

We are currently living in Russia, and we have not yet lived in Canada. (Once we get the PR status, we plan to move there)

No, you can't sponsor your in-laws.

After your wife moves to Canada as a PR and you guys meet the 3 year income requirement, she can enter the lottery to sponsor her mother. Given that you don't live in Canada, it will most likely be at least 2021 or 2022 before she will be able to enter the lottery. If she is selected, it could then be another few years before her mother is actually approved.

Siblings can't be sponsored. If the sister is under 22 when your wife sponsors her mother, she can be included as a dependent. If she is older, she could only be included if she has a mental or physical disability that leaves her completely dependent on her mother.
