I am a permanent resident living in BC. I am planning to sponsor my wife into Canada, but i am still repaying my student loan.

Among the requirements stated in the Citizen and immigration Canada web-page, it says that one person may not be eligible to be a sponsor if he/she has received government financial assistance for reasons other than a disability

Does Immigration Canada consider a Student Loan given by StudentAidBC as government financial assistance?
